Philadelphia Symmetry 2007/2008 Season

Team Selection Criteria

The coaches make all decisions regarding team selection. Selections are based on individual skating skills, synchro skating skills, athleticism, musicality, performance, ability to learn patterns and step sequences, attitude, and commitment. All skaters must be US Figure Skating members in good standing. The following are the team levels for the season and the specific requirements for each team level:

Beginner Team

8-16 skaters
no age restrictions
skaters must have passed Basic 5

Preliminary Team

8-16 skaters
all skaters must be under 12 years of age and the majority of the team must be under 10 years of age as of July 1st, 2007
skaters must have passed Basic 5, Pre-Preliminary Moves in the Field is preferred

Pre-Juvenile Team

12 skaters (2 alternates)
the majority of the team must be under 12 years of age as of July 1st, 2007
Preliminary Moves in the Field Test preferred

Intermediate Team

12-20 skaters
all skaters must be under 18 years of age as of July 1st, 2007
Pre-Juvenile Moves in the Field Test required
